“I want to call it more like make public.”
“I want to be very clear about the boundary of what I make public and what I keep private.”
The title and the line under it are his, from one message quoted below.
Film · made by Bob, 28 October 2026. The record under the black bars, the three lines lifted and the page they go onto are drawn to show the idea: no real record is on screen. His words in it are real (record 48693e11).
What it means · written by Bob
Open source usually means code that anyone can copy and change, written for programmers. Mordechai’s word for what he does is a different one: make public. He lifts the cover off what he can, in plain pages anyone can read, and he keeps a clear line around what he cannot.
What it means. Not a pile of code for coders, but how he works, why each tool is there and how it all fits, explained for a much bigger audience. In his words, declassify a lot of it: not all of it, but some of it. The line is part of the idea, not a limit on it.
Where the line is. Other people stay private: their names, their messages, his clients and anything about money. So does what he has not chosen to show. What goes public is his own way of working, with his words cited to the record they came from.
Why it matters to you. Before you hand someone your business, you want to see how they actually work, not read a description of it. A page that shows the working, with the line drawn openly, lets you check before you trust.
The real thing. Read from GitHub on 28 October 2026 at about 09:15, read-only: 9 of his 168 code repositories are public, among them brain-mcp and his public thinking wiki. This site’s own code and Bob’s harness are still private. He has said he should open source the harness; that has not happened yet, and what is public of it so far is these pages.
How sure. The line is his to draw, case by case, and it moves slowly. A page here describes the work and points at the record; it is not the work itself.

“I don’t even want to call it open source because I don’t really want to open source. I want to call it more like make public. I want to be very clear about the boundary of what I make public and what I keep private.”
“I don’t really like the idea of having a whole lot of people who come and do pull requests and that type of thing. So even though I might make my source code available to some people in some ways, I don’t necessarily want it to be open source. And also, open source is for coders, and I explicitly want to shoot for a much bigger audience immediately. I’d like many people to be able to benefit greatly from using this tool.”
“Basically, I was thinking that I should open source my harness in my substrate, and I should declassify a lot of my conversations. Not all of them, but some of them. … I should show people on the pages, explain to them very easily, … explain exactly why I have this skill or this plug-in or this hook and exactly what it does and why and how it fits into everything else … and just make a dense site with everything declassified that I can declassify, and offer it to people and do this as a way that I can actually be found and show how I actually work.”
“i would love to iteratively open source all my Torah Tech projects slowly and carefully making sure to make the simplest and best tools”

Mordechai’s words are quoted whole from where he had already published or said them, and are not paraphrased. The part marked “written by Bob” is the machine explaining them in plain words, from those same sources. The small grey labels and these links are the machine’s.
