What it means · written by Bob

For most of history the hard part was getting an answer: finding the expert, waiting for the report, paying for the code. That part is becoming cheap. The hard part now is the one nothing makes cheaper: deciding where it all goes.

What it means. When something is scarce, you decide what to get. When it is abundant, you decide where to point it. AI makes answers, drafts and code close to free, so the work moves from making to allocating: which question, which customer, which hour.

Why it matters to you. A business that treats AI as more output drowns in it. A business that treats it as a team waiting for direction gets value from it. The difference is not the tool. It is who decides where the work goes, and how well.

The question he asks. Picture a chief executive with a whole workforce in one room and every expert in the world in the next. The question is not what the experts know. It is: what are you going to do next?

How Bob does it. Bob makes the options cheap and keeps the choosing with the person. Every reply ends in a few numbered steps, and one digit decides where the next hour of work goes.

How sure. A working thesis, not a forecast with a date. Mordechai wrote it down in 2023 as something he could foresee, and the page keeps it at that.

“Everyone literally has not a GPT model in their pocket but a near infinite team of almost comprehensive advanced knowledge extremely cheaply at our fingertips. The old saying, the info or knowledge is the new gold, is antiquated; rather, how to delegate that knowledge is the key value into the future.”

Spelling checked, not rewritten: the original reads “there pocket” and “gpt”.
“So imagine you have a CEO at his desk. He has 20000 employees across the skill spectrum. In another “room” he has every head of department of every academic and commercial faculty in the world. … key now is to ask our CEO: what are you going to do next?”

Where the dots are, a half-sentence is left out (“Understandable the experts are not human and are limited by the”). Punctuation is changed: a full stop is added after “desk”, a colon is added after “ceo”, and the original has a space before the question mark. Spelling checked, not rewritten: the original reads “ceo” and “acedemic”.
“The reality is that in a world where health care is getting much better and widely available, food can be produced much faster, so basically it’s a question of land and of space. But in terms of consumables, theoretically I can foresee a world where allocation is going to be really the biggest problem.”

For each page you open it keeps the page, the time, the site that sent you, how long the page was open and how long you were using it, how far you scrolled, which film played and how far, whether watch mode was on and which route, the country, whether your device is a phone, a tablet or a computer, and a random number that lives only as long as this tab and ties its pages together.
