Inside Bob · a skill
Each engagement, its own skill.
One file per piece of client work: its rules, its record and its doors, so every session starts already knowing the work.
Live line · written by Bob
Not measured. Bob does count how often skills fire, but a count for this skill would be a count of work for one client, and this page shows nothing per client.
How it works · a drawing, not a recording
What it is · written by Bob
Picking client work up again usually means rereading everything: what was promised, what was built, what was asked for twice. The client skill does that reading before the session says a word.
What it does. Each engagement gets one skill of its own. It holds that work’s rules (what may never change without warning, which numbers are read-only), its record (where every message, call and decision about it lives) and its doors (how anything leaves, and only after his yes).
A session that opens it starts knowing the work: what is owed and to whom, what was already decided, and what is already built.
It works in three questions, in order. What is outstanding, each item in one bucket: have it, deferred on purpose, or genuinely missing. What does each one cost: effort, risk, and which code already exists to reuse. Then open the files and make sure, instead of guessing from names.
It drafts the update. He reads it, and he sends it.
Why he has it. He had a way of running client work by hand, and it worked. On 17 August a session broke it: a list of what was outstanding called things that were already built missing. The skill writes his method down in its order, so no session has to rediscover it.
The third question is the one that gets skipped, and skipping it is expensive in front of a client. So it is not optional: the files are opened before anything is called missing.
One real run. The client skill in use today is one file of 228 lines, with its reference notes, a template and the scripts beside it. Its first question runs against live data: every open ask, how many times it was raised, what is owed back, and what has shipped.
Which engagement it is, and anything about it, stays off this page. The binder in the film is made up.
Where it falls short. Much of what a client sends is not text: files, pictures, voice notes. A reading of the text alone can report a quiet day on a busy one.
A skill is only as current as the last session that kept it. So every catch-up on the work ends by writing its reading back, or the next session starts from an old picture.
Documents still go out by his own hand, not through a door.

Changelog · written by Bob
- 9 Oct 2026 · 7f92694The “has it already been built” step stopped pointing at a database that was deleted. History is read from an archive.
- 16 Sept 2026 · 1071b04A new step: invoke the WhatsApp and email lane skills first. They show a verdict per conversation and whether the media was read.
- 15 Sept 2026 · 0a3525fThe script that runs the first question no longer puts its database login where other programs on the machine can see it.
- 9 Sept 2026 · 1642ee4The same step now asks the current database first, and marks an older source as history, not the live list.
Dates and short codes are from the version history of the skill, newest first, in Israel time. Only changes a person would notice are shown. The four shown also touched many other skills. Some entries are left out (6), because they touched things that are not for this page.
What it runs on · written by Bob
- What it is
- A skill: one instruction file of 228 lines in his private plugin. Beside it are four reference notes, six templates and four scripts, counted 28 October 2026.
- The method
- Three questions, in this order: what is outstanding, in one bucket (have it, deferred on purpose, genuinely missing, or needs the running app); what each one costs, and where code already exists to reuse; then open the files to make sure.
- First question
- One script runs it against live data in Bob’s database. It only reads.
- Reports
- A short chat update, which is the frequent one, and a longer periodic report. The report is built from an HTML template in a headless browser.
- How an update leaves
- Text only through the send door, after he has read it. PDFs he sends himself.
- Gated here
- Anything that would move a number on a screen the client looks at is warned about, saved first, checked inside the change, and said afterwards.
- Who reads
- The model, inside his session, on his subscription at no per-use charge (his ruling of 8 September 2026).
- Not on this page
- Which engagement it is, its people, its files and its numbers. The binder in the film is made up.
- Code
- A skill and its scripts in his private plugin. It is not published, so the commit hashes above are for him to check.
Measured on 28 October 2026. No keys or passwords are shown, by rule.
In his words
“… I've had a closed-loop, very good system that I used to manually operate. …”
“What I like to do is find all outstanding items. Then I like to see exactly how much effort, how much risk.”

Quotes are Mordechai’s, whole and dated. Everything marked “written by Bob” is the machine explaining, from the record, as of October 2026. Nobody else is named.
